In fact, I'm so excited with how this is going that I'm going to do something that I've never done before: I'm going to start posting the chapters here even though I'm not done. This is a new concept for me. I really have no idea how people can post chapters of a long fic when the whole thing isn't written yet. When I write, I'm constantly going back to old chapters and changing things to fit as newer chapters are being developed, or adding things to earlier events, or reworking dialogue or descriptions. Heck, I didn't even write The Actor in chapter order - I wrote 1-5, then part of 6-8, then 13-15, then 11-12, then finished 6-8, and then wrote 9-10 (because man, at the time, 9-10 felt so long, drawn-out, and pointless; there was a point where I almost abandoned the entire story because those chapters were so difficult to write). Oh, and then I rewrote a major part of chapter 15 no less than five times from scratch. How do you people do this???
Thing is, I'm rather eager to get this out, and the first few chapters are in a pretty finished state, so I thought, why not start putting them out there? And, if I start posting them, that's more impetus for me to complete the entire story. So, expect the first chapter sometime later today. (Not now, because I'm taking my lunch hour to work on this one chapter...) Warning: lots of OC, arched Time Lady, trope-y goodness. Also, I reserve the right to change posted stuff without warning, because I'm sure I'll find something later in the story that will make me want to change something earlier. Here comes!
