And to start it all off, here's one...
Character: Rose Tyler
Why I like them: Rose was a very well-designed character, with a distinct history and established circle of family and friends, a set of strengths, and a set of weaknesses, and she behaved within her design. She was very real, behaving exactly as you would expect a teenager with no future who got caught up by a powerful alien and placed on a pedestal in the center of the universe to behave.
Why I don't: I dislike people like Rose in real life - self-absorbed, self-important, manipulative, jealous, suspicious.
Favourite Season: DW Series 1. She was so much better with the Ninth Doctor.
Favorite episode: "Dalek". For once, her belief that she knew better than the Doctor was actually correct, and she had the strength to stand up to the Doctor on it.
Favourite Line: I can't think of a specific line, but here are two scenes. First, when the Doctor regenerated, Rose immediately accused the new Doctor of kidnapping, then thought maybe he was a Slitheen. She was smart enough to not just take this new person's word for it and was willing to fight for her Doctor. Second, in "School Reunion", when the Doctor was telling her how hard it was for him to have to outlive everyone, "watching that happen to someone who you...", she immediately jumped on the unfinished sentence, trying to get him to finish it with the word "love". It was so true to her character, that she was more concerned with getting him to admit that he loved her than with understanding the personal difficulties he was sharing with her.
OTP: None. I wouldn't wish her on anyone.
Brotp: I can't think of anyone on-screen that she shared a close platonic relationship with. Maybe her relationship with the Ninth Doctor is something like that, but to me, it felt more like father-daughter.
Unpopular opinion: I really don't see any way that Rose and Meta's story ended happily.
A wish: Honestly, I wish that Series 2 hadn't ended with that trio of terrible episodes - "Fear Her", "Idiot's Lantern", and "Love and Monsters".
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: Please don't bring Rose back again. It wasn't enough that she hijacked so much of series 4, but then she returned again in "The Day of the Doctor"? Yes, she was the Moment there, but no one realizes that that was a completely different character.
