Wasn't it amazing?! A great story, and what an entrance! Glad they were able to recreate it in this way.

What did y'all think?!

It was absolutely wonderful! I've come to the conclusion that while Ten is my favorite Doctor and Nine is fantastic, I much prefer the style of the classic show. The stories are so much more complex, and they're not about the Doctor, but about the people he encounters. In hindsight (meaning, modern perspective on this 1966 story), it was pretty obvious who the bad guys were going to turn out to be and what was going to happen, but it was still a solid story, executed well. The animation was great, and I cannot believe how good the sound was, considering it was fan-recorded 50 years ago.

I'm still dancing around going EEEEE about it. :D

Yes! The story-lines and scripts were better all in all. They had to be; good acting of a good story was critical. Can you imagine the kind of writing now with that era? Would the show have lasted this long?

Makes me want to see more Classic Who. :DDDDD

(BTW, did you see my Nine cosplay at G1?)

You enjoyed it, I take it from the above comments??

I have the audio and it's one of my favourite DW stories. I do love David Whitaker's style of writing & Power is one of his very best. (nfortunately, I don't like animations; they kick off some sort of Uncanny Valley reaction in me - I'd so much rather have a recon on DVD. But it's lovely to know that other people are enjoying it now instead of ignoring it. It's a great story, and Ben, Polly & Two are fab. Kudos too to the excellent Robert James for his performance as Lesterson, though it seems a solid cast all round; I like Janley, too.

(Hmm, actually, I only have the audio on tape and my tape-player just died. I don't have Power any more, do I...? *sad*)

You went to one of the theater showings, then? (We're waiting on BBC America, here.) I suppose there are going to have to be a bunch more of those? I mean it can't have been the whole story all at once?
